My first post. I am desperately trying to figure out what I am going to use this site for. I already have a site that is a running blog of my thoughts, what I am up to, who I am, and what drives me. Although I don’t refer to my name or names of anyone else that I know of (for the most part) on that blog. Occasionally, there is a lapse. The rules are that you cannot really comment or ask questions on that site. It’s strictly for me and people who know me on a personal level. I also wanted to have a site that will be for my art studio, and goings on in that space. What I am up to from an art perspective – painting, drawing, and glass. However, with all the AI and unscrupulous BS in social media, I may not be posting any of my art online – at least nothing that isn’t password protected, if it’s out there at all. Which is kind of shitty, now that I think about it. A web presence is meant to showcase your work. However, as an artist, I’m not so naive to think that someone wouldn’t poach my artwork/ideas. I also want to have a site that will showcase my Czechoslovakian art glass collection from a photographic perspective and what I have learned in my years of collecting the stuff. I am going to start photographing all of it and try to put it in the best light to show what attracts me to it. Some of my friends claim that it’s the ugliest (haha) glass they have ever seen (I won’t say who that was). I am also going to have a site that is for my nephews and my grandson – I will probably link it to tick-tok of Instagram for some sort of (VOTD) vlog of the day (this is still in the works). And lastly, I am going to create a site for a project (3Saints) that showcases religious (Catholic) stained glass windows in the Chicagoland area. I am going to try and get it sanctioned by Cardinal Cupich – this is kind of my passion, and as it turns out, I think that is what this website may be going to be for… or what it turns into eventually.
