Welcome to my inaugural post! As I navigate the puzzling maze of what to actually do with this site, I must confess I’m a bit perplexed. You see, I already run a blog that’s basically my mental sounding board, dropping those thoughts in the virtual echo-chamber of my psyche. It’s not a place for the faint-hearted; no names are mentioned there—unless I slip up, of course! Comments? Forget it! It’s essentially my private diary for a select audience of my nearest and dearest. I also thought about creating a site for my art studio chaos — sharing my latest masterpieces—or misadventures—in painting, drawing, and glass, because why not? But, with all the AI shenanigans and social media sleaziness, I might just keep my art locked up tighter than a secret family recipe—at least the good stuff! It’s a bit of a downer when you realize that showcasing your work can sometimes feel like handing it over on a silver platter to would-be art thieves. I also plan to flaunt my Czechoslovakian art glass collection—a visual delight! Friends might claim it’s the world’s ugliest (sorry, but that’s a secret I won’t disclose). Plus, I’m brewing a mini-site for my nephews and grandson, possibly linking it to TikTok or Instagram for a daily dose of “VOTD” (Vlog of the Day)—still pending approval from the universe. Lastly, my passion project: a site dedicated to the divine beauty of Catholic stained-glass windows in and around Chicago—yes, and I’m aiming to charm Cardinal Cupich into giving it the thumbs-up! This could very well be the unexpected twist in my site’s tale… or so I hope!
